My showering routine changes often but right now I think I’ve got it pretty good. I come out fresh as a daisy and literally smelling of (Moroccan) roses.

Here’s my current line up:

  1. REN Moroccan Rose Body Wash – £18 for 200ml

This product feels too luxury to be showering with everyday but I like to feel like I’m living above my means and so have nearly run out. It contains Moroccan Rose Otto oil, which both smells divine and is said to bring calm and stress relief. REN have some fab natural bodycare products and this beauty has won Instyle’s best shower gel award for over 10 years running.

2. Prismologie The Red Hour Foaming Body Scrub – £35 for 200ml

Prismologie is a relatively new bodycare brand which uses colour, fragrance and precious stones to enhance the mood. The Red Hour range is scented with Cedarwood and uses Ruby Crystals and Pomegranate enzymes to gently exfoliate. Its a good, light exfoliator and leaves my skin feeling very moisturized. I also adore the Indigo Interlude Foot Cream from this brand which I tend to use on both my hands and feet as I love a rich hand cream and can’t get enough of the Oud smell.

3. R+Co Gemstone Colour Shampoo – £22 for 241ml

The idea behind this shampoo is that it enhances the tones in your hair be they colour-treated or natural. It also contains heat defense and colour protection which is great for those who blow-dry, straighten or dye their hair. I really enjoy using this shampoo as it does what it says on the tin and leaves the hair shiny and soft. However, it may be slightly too heavy for my fine hair as I seem to have to wash it more frequently. This said, I’m quite happy to do so as it smells gorgeous and lathers well when massaged, despite their sulphate-free formula. R+Co have recently launched a shampoo and conditioner called Sunset Blvd specifically for blonde/grey tones which is next on the wish list!

4. Oribe Bright Blonde Conditioner – £43 for 250ml

Oribe Bright Blonde Conditioner is a purple conditioner that takes out the brassiness in blonde hair. Most blondes use a product like this. But it is not this. Oribe Bright Blonde Conditioner makes even the most coarse hair silky and the dullest tones bright. It is luxury in a bottle and is worth every penny of the hefty price tag.

5. Nude Detox Fizzy Powder Wash – £38 for 60g

This exfoliating powder wash is designed to work with all skin types to brighten and detoxify with gorgeous natural ingredients. I love using this product as I find it reminds me of baking a cake. To use, you measure out half a teaspoon of the powder into your clean, dry hand and then add about 3 drops of water which makes the powder expand and fizz. In doing this you are activating the stabilized vitamin C ensuring the ingredient is working to its full potential in each use. You then massage onto the skin in circular motions, avoiding the eyes and wash off. The exfoliating beads are rose hip and vanilla orchid seeds which will buff away any dead skin whilst the omega rich Inca gold reduces redness and irritation.

6. Omorovicza Cleansing Foam – £44 for 150ml

Finally (I know, it’s a long shower) is a very new product to my shelf. The Omorovicza Cleansing Foam. This feels clean and light to use, with no residue or feeling or tightness afterwards. It removed all my make up and felt incredibly gentle on my skin. Unfortunately, I still have my reservations about this product and tend to approach with caution as it contains synthetic fragrance which I do not like using on my blemish prone skin.

These products are all available to buy at Space NK Apothecary.
