Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream Review

Sunday Riley is one of my favourite skincare brands to date and that is for one simple reason – her products WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK. (Que Rihanna)

…That’s not to say that others don’t but from her oils to her lactic acid treatment serum (Good Genes) I have seen incredible results on all skin types of all ages – including my own!

Sunday Riley herself is a formulator and began her career working for large companies before starting her own line of  high performance skincare using beautiful botanicals.  She is a busy working mum and so likes to keep her range concise. Not all of us have time for a 10 step facial twice a day and she gets that. As such, all her products are multitaskers. For instance, her Blue Moon Cleansing Balm removes make up, cleanses and doubles up as a hydrating mask!

Her newest arrival Tidal Brightening Water Enzyme Cream is brilliant. It’s brightening, hydrating and anti-aging. For drier skins this is a fantastic hydrating treatment underneath a rich moisturiser. For normal to oily skin, especially coming in to the summer months, it is a fabulous light weight moisturiser. The texture is between a gel and a cream and a little goes a very long way. It has a fresh cucumber scent and instantly plumps with its hyaluronic acid complex which holds water at the skins surface and eradicates dehydration.

Tidal also features an ingredient called Alpha-Arbutin which is used to brighten hyper-pigmentation and will help with acne scarring. This works together with the award winning ingredient the ‘Great White Bird of Paradise’. Strangely enough this is not a bird and is in fact a flower extract also with brightening properties. No birds were harmed during the making of this cream. Which is possibly the best time to tell you that no animals were harmed either as the product is cruelty free.

Finally this gorgeous water cream is topped off with a fruit enzyme called Papin, derived from Papayas which will exfoliate the skin and so is great for pores, blemishes and fine lines.

I have loved using Tidal as a lightweight moisturiser for the past two weeks. My skin stays hydrated all day which stops my make up creasing in the dehydration  lines around my eyes. I have also found that my skin is bright and much clearer than usual so I have been wearing a tinted moisturiser instead of my usual high coverage (also amazing) Laura Mercier Moisturising Silk Creme Foundation. Fabulous!

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream retails at £60 and is available at Space NK.
